Annapurna circuit is known as one of the best treks in the world. It takes us to the ultimate regional scenery: the rivers, flora, fauna, and above all, the mountains.
Four main regions are passed by, Lamjung, Manang, Mustang, and Myagdi. The trek also goes through a number of Buddhist and Hindu villages, such as the village of Muktinath, is known as a holy place for both Buddhists and Hindus, and Braga, the oldest monasteries in the region.
Trekking is now highly popular in Nepal as it offers an apparently easy way to enjoy the stunning beauty of the mountain peaks. In fact, the route circling Annapurna is one of the most popular treks. October is the peak season when thousands of trekkers leave the comfort of their home to explore the joy in the mountains.
First you can arrive at Kathmandu at 1330m, from where we can arrange a half day sightseeing tour with a little leisure time in the end of a day. From there, you can fly to Pokhara and start your trek to Dhampus at 1990m. It includes around three hours walking. Next day you might walk for approximately 5 hours to reach Landruk at 1600 m. After that, you can commence next trek to Chomrung at 2020m, and walk approximately for six to seven hours. Next day, take a six hours walk to complete the trek to Tadapani. You can move on to next day trek to Ghandruk at 1990m, walking approximately for six hours. Near the end of this trek, you can walk for two hours to reach Nayapul, and drive for two hours to reach Pokhara again, then go back to your way to reach Kathmandu and conclude your Annapurna trek.

Based on numbers of trekkers, this is no doubt the most popular trek. Apart from the range of mountains that includes Annapurna I, another giant, Dhaulagiri, is also located near west of Annapurna I. Between these two mountains there is the valley of the Kali-Gandaki River, known as the deepest gorge in the world. Glimpses of lush, fertile farmland, views of the natural forest, and snow-covered mountains add up to a varied range of experiences that makes this area one of the most sought after trekking stop in Nepal.
Annapurna ranges of mountains cause a large block of land to fall in the rain shadow area. This leads to unusually varied landscapes and the possibility of trekking during the monsoon.
In case you you want to plan your holidays for a few more days, you can follow a rather long course that includes Marsyandi River and Thorung pass from the Manang basin and the Kaligandaki while coming down at the end.
It is rich in variety from the hill of Marsyangdi to the Himalayan interior, providing the unparallel trekking experience. The diversified scenery at Thorung pass and around the area of Muktinath are also fascinating. Trekking north, we can visit the village of Manang (3351m) before crossing the Thorung pass. Finally, we trek out the gorges and look back to the peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri before traversing the forest ridges down to Pokhara.
